Emergency Supplies Drive

On November 29, at our Disaster Preparation Workshop, will also be kicking off our holiday EMERGENCY SUPPLIES DRIVE, to benefit families in need in East Lewis County.

We invite all community members — individuals, families, businesses, and organizations — to bring items to donate to help less-fortunate residents of our community. We will be collecting items to put in BE PREPARED KITS that will be distributed through local charitable organizations.

Here are some suggested items to donate:

*Flashlights, batteries, light sticks
*NOAA weather radio and/or any battery-operated or hand-crank radios
*First aid supplies/kits, dust masks
*Small toiletries (tooth paste, deodorant, soap, etc)
*Food: protein bars, other ready-to-eat foods that require no cooking/heating
*Thermal blankets or sleeping bags, ponchos
*Heat packs/hand warmer packs
*Backpacks or duffle bags to pack supplies in

We also will welcome donations by cash or check at the event (or mail to the Chamber), or credit card (via PayPal at the button below) to be used to purchase emergency supplies in bulk. Our goal is to distribute at least 30 BE PREPARED KITS throughout East County by the end of this year. Please join us, in this season of giving and thanksgiving, to support your community by helping those in need.

Also, the Chamber is now participating in affiliate program with Nitro-Pak, suppliers of innovative and affordable preparedness supplies for your business, home, and car.
