HYDROPLANE RACING RETURNS TO LAKE MAYFIELD, MAY 2-4!

In 2008, boating season will open with a bang on Lake Mayfield, as the Limited Hydroplane Races return to Lewis County after a long absence. Title sponsor Sunny Valley Sales, in association with the East Lewis County Chamber and Seattle Outboard Association, presents the SUNNY VALLEY SALES LAKE MAYFIELD HYDROPLANE RACES, May 2-4, at Ike Kinswa State Park.

Admission to the races is free, so we are expecting a big crowd! Most of the on-site parking will be limited to event participants. Drivers may drop off passengers at the park then proceed to the parking lot less than 2 miles away at Harmony Lakeside RV Park. Parking there will cost $5/car and include a free ride on the shuttle bus to the race site.

This is a family-friendly event and there will be NO ALCOHOL allowed at the park.

Volunteers are needed to help with parking, traffic, and crowd control. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt. High school students may be able to earn community service hours by volunteering -- check with your counselor.
