Flora is an active resident of Morton. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Relay for Life Team Participant, and Fire Mountain Historical Society.

"I love to travel, it's hard for me to remain home". When asked, if she's Mayor of Morton, what's her number one task to complete, her reply, " put money into publicizing the local events more".

Flora is an advent garage sales seeker, states her husband, Ed (a retired Air Force Military personnel) "If you're looking for a garage sale, no matter where it's located, you'll probably see Flora there".

Flora also loves bake sales and manning activities at the local museum. Flora has five children from a previous marriage and Ed has seven from a previous marriage. All kids are adults now. Flora is retired now and before retirement, she spent time as a research specialist at John Hopkins and also served as a juvenile probation counselor. Flora is a regular at the local gym daily.

Presently, the Hallbach's are entertaining one of Flora's daughters from Oregon, Patricia Doll.

"I love this community, states Flora.

Soon Flora and Ed will enjoy the beautiful Oregon Coast.

Have fun and enjoy...........from the East Lewis County Chamber of Commerce.
